createlondon is in to real face to face interaction and viral grassroots marketing. We are an ethical bunch and have been following the story in Iran closely.
We were very saddened to hear the story of Neda, a 16 year old girl shot dead in cold blood while passively protesting with her father.
The huge and widespread protests in Iran have been made party possible through social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter. With international journalists shut out, the world communities eyes have been through social media, enabled via mobile camera phones uploading content onto the multiple social media platforms.
Within one day of Nedas shooting, it is trending topic on Twitter and the news has landed in inboxes across the world.
In particular founders of the '*NESA*_ANGEL OF IRAN group are appealing to friends, family and witnesses, which they say they will then pass on to international news agencies wanting to broadcast the news. This real grassroots communication shows yet another way in which social media can be used to full effect.
Our thoughts are with Neda and her family, bless her, we will be wearing green ribbons in her memory...
